Setting up my email on Android devices

Make sure that, before setting up your email on your Android device, you create a new email account. Do not edit a previously set up account with new details.

If you only want toreceive emails follow this procedure until step 14.

  1. If this is the first email account you are setting up on your Android device, tap Mail. Otherwise from the Home screen choose Settings > MailAccounts > Add Account
  2. In the account type list, select Other
  3. Tap Name and enter your name
  4. Tap Address and enter your email address at your domain (eg, your-name@your-domain.com)
  5. Tap Password then enter the password associated with your email account
  6. Tap Description then enter a description you can identify with your account (eg, Work account)
  7. Tap Save
  8. Next select the server type as POP by tapping the POP tab on the top right-hand side
  9. Tap Save
  10. Tap Host Name and enter webmail.thewebconsole.com (port 995)
  11. Tap User Name and enter your-name@your-domain.com
  12. The password field should have been filled from before. If not tap Password and enter your given email password
  13. Tap Save
  14. If you wish to only receive mail, you are done! If you want to send mail follow the next steps
  15. Go back Home go to > Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Tap the name of the email account you just set up
  16. Tap SMTP
  17. Input webmail.thewebconsole.com for the Outgoing Mail Server, including the password used earlier
  18. Make sure the Use SSL is set to Off
  19. Tap Save
  20. Verify the account settings and tap Save

Your account should now be set up for use on your Android device. Alternatively if you want many staff to be able to manage a single email account at the same time and have advanced message state information (eg, You can keep track of whether an email has been replied to, read, etc) you can sign up for a Google account and we will take care of this for you.
