Adding a Discount to your Shopping Cart


Discounts are a great way of rewarding your regular customers, gaining new customers, and preventing Shopping Cart abandonment.

To add a discount offer:

  1. Click on the Shop Settings tab when you are logged into your Website Account.
  2. Click on the Discounts tab.
  3. Click Add New Discount.
  4. Give the Discount a Code. This will be used by your customers when they go to finalise the payment for their purchases.
  5. Give the Discount an Amount then specify whether the amount is in Australian dollars or a percentage of the total amount.
  6. Check the Enabled box to enable this discount.
  7. Give the Discount a Description such as "20% off your total purchase."
  8. Set the Available After date. The Discount will be enabled immediately after this date.
  9. Set the Available Until date. The Discount will be disabled at 12am on this date, which means that it will NOT be valid on this date.
  10. Set the Limits of the Discount. You can either choose Unlimited (which is great for VIP shoppers and the like) or you can a limited number of uses and then specify how many in the Max Uses field that will appear.
  11. In the Applies to field you can choose to apply this discount to:
    • The Entire shop order,
    • Single product/s only in an order - this feature has a lot of options such as applying discounts to certain products only, entire categories and entire brands.  The discount will only apply to one item in the order, not every valid item.
    • All items in order -this feature has a lot of options such as applying discounts to certain products only, entire categories and entire brands. The discount will only apply to all valid items in the order.
  12. Click Submit.

You have now set up a discount for your Shopping Cart.
