When sending email from software such as Outlook Express, a protocol called SMTP is generally used, which is usually assigned to port 25. To prevent unsolicited emails (spam) and viruses being sent via email, some Internet Service Providers (ISP) are blocking this port so that it is only possible to send email through their SMTP servers. SolutionIf you are having problems sending email, try using your ISP's SMTP address for your outgoing mail server. If this doesn't work, then please contact your ISP for a solution to sending email by SMTP. The following is a list of ISPs we have the outgoing mail (SMTP) servers for: - Optus: mail.optusnet.com.au
